Club chairperson

Role description:

The role of the chair is to chair club committee meetings and ensure good communication is maintained between the committee, the club members and other third parties. They will liaise with the secretary and other committee members to set meeting agendas. The chair maintains the smooth week-to-week running of the club.

Responsible to:

The club committee and the membership of the club.

Experience and skills required:

The chair must be organised, diplomatic and have good communication skills. They must also be confident in chairing committee meetings.

Commitment required:

Attending committee meetings (once every two months), and provide a supporting role in club sporting and social events.
